Firms accepting payments through Helcim can now connect their accounts directly to Zeno. Each daily card batch routes automatically through an Other Current Asset clearing account, allowing batch sales and merchant processing fees to match bank feed deposits without manual ledger math.
Automated clearing account workflow
Connecting Helcim requires only an API token entered under Clients, then Connections. Once connected, Zeno pulls daily card batches and prepares them for posting. Individual customer card payments book into the designated clearing account as they occur. When Helcim initiates a bank transfer, the deposit on the bank feed clears out the matching batches, while Helcim processing debits book to merchant fees.
Resilient batch matching and void handling
Settlement plans verify batch totals against raw transaction data before posting. Batches containing customer voids or adjustments are held for inspection rather than posted with discrepancies. In addition, transfer matching drains only batches that have already cleared or are bundled into the same plan, preventing out-of-order posting if a settlement spans multiple business days.
Improvements
- Helcim transfers drain only posted batches, preventing negative clearing balances
- Fee debits exceeding expected thresholds pause for manual review
- Failed network syncs retry automatically without duplicating card records
- Card token data is dropped immediately after reading, keeping sensitive payment tokens out of storage
