How a write happens
Every write Zeno makes follows the same steps, whether the company is on QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop:- The AI prepares a plan against the live ledger.
- Zeno checks names, accounts, duplicates, and the company’s rules.
- A person reads the plan and approves it, or holds the lines they disagree with.
- Zeno posts only the approved entries.
- The run stays on record, with a way to reverse it.
Where it runs
Use the firm workspace with QuickBooks Online. For a company file that stays on a Windows workstation, run Zeno locally with QuickBooks Desktop. Both follow the steps above.Use the firm workspace
One queue of bank and card activity, a document inbox, expense claims, review, company memory, and hosted QuickBooks Online connections, across every client.
Run locally with QuickBooks Desktop
The same plan, approve, post, and record steps on the Windows workstation that holds the company file.
Common starting points
Set up the firm workspace
Connect the AI client you use, then add the first QuickBooks Online company.
Plan, review, apply, reverse
What happens at each step, and why Zeno may refuse to apply a plan.
Connect an AI client
Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, or Codex on your firm’s books over MCP.
Work the queue
Statements and live connections on one queue, coded by rules and the assistant, matched against what the ledger already holds.
Expense claims
Company cards as a lane of the queue: receipts, a cardholder’s submission, a reviewer’s approval before anything posts.
Complete a reviewed batch locally
Follow the Desktop workflow from proposal through approval, posting, and reversal.
The hosted tool surface
Every tool a connected AI client can call against QuickBooks Online, and what each one refuses to do.
Troubleshoot the firm workspace
Check sign-in, client authorization, ledger sync, plans, and bank connections.
