The Inbox now reads incoming documents automatically as they land. Every client receives a unique forwarding address. When bills, receipts, or invoices arrive, Zeno parses the file text, extracts critical transaction details, and links receipts to matching lines on the bank feed.
OCR extraction for photos and PDF text layers
Uploaded documents and email attachments are parsed immediately. For digital PDFs, Zeno reads the embedded text layer directly. For scanned images or smartphone photos of paper receipts, embedded Tesseract OCR extracts the total amount, invoice date, vendor name, and order reference number.
If a bill or receipt arrives before the corresponding charge posts to the bank feed, it waits in the inbox with its extracted fields ready. As soon as the charge clears the bank, Zeno links the document automatically and marks it ready for review.
Sandboxed email preview and reference PDFs
Forwarded emails can be inspected in their original layout using a sandboxed viewer that displays embedded receipt tables and vendor headers safely. For plain-text emails containing purchase confirmations or flight bookings, Zeno archives the message body into a clean reference PDF that attaches directly to the transaction record in QuickBooks.

- Machine reading retries transient document parsing failures automatically
- Extracted receipt dates match bank lines across up to two weeks of vendor settlement lag
- Attaching receipts to transactions compares extracted figures against live ledger rows
- Document purge safely removes OCR text and raw metadata alongside original files
