Reconciling merchant processor payouts is often one of the most tedious tasks in small business bookkeeping. Zeno now connects directly with Stripe and Square to read incoming payouts and break down each lump-sum bank deposit into its component sales, refunds, disputes, and processing fees.
Matching payouts to open invoices and sales
When a payout lands on the bank feed, Zeno reads the underlying charges from Stripe or Square. Each charge settles against what already exists in the books: first checking for undeposited payments, then open customer invoices, and only booking a new sales receipt when no matching record is found.
For businesses that prefer to record every processor transaction as a direct sale, a per-connection toggle allows booking all incoming charges directly to a designated sales account while still capturing refunds and fees accurately.
Net withdrawals and reserve tracking
Processor adjustments and money transfers out of Stripe or Square accounts are tracked cleanly. Withdrawals plan as money out of the bank or merchant account, while held-back reserve balances report separately so client balances remain transparent.
In the Windows app for QuickBooks Desktop, Stripe and Square payout sync is included with the connectors add-on at no extra fee.
