# Zeno documentation

> Connect Claude or ChatGPT to QuickBooks. The AI prepares the work; a person approves it before it posts.

Zeno connects the AI you already use to QuickBooks, for one company or for a
firm's clients. QuickBooks stays the ledger. Zeno holds the bank and card
queue, the document inbox, the rules and facts each company has taught it, the
plans, and the record behind every posting.

## How a write happens

Every write Zeno makes follows the same steps, whether the company is on
QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop:

1. The AI prepares a plan against the live ledger.
2. Zeno checks names, accounts, duplicates, and the company's rules.
3. A person reads the plan and approves it, or holds the lines they disagree with.
4. Zeno posts only the approved entries.
5. The run stays on record, with a way to reverse it.

## Where it runs

Use the firm workspace with QuickBooks Online. For a company file that stays
on a Windows workstation, run Zeno locally with QuickBooks Desktop. Both follow
the steps above.
